It is a freakishly foul day at ELC. What happened to our nice school? Normally it is a happy, family-knit atmosphere. Not today. Today is horribly frightening. Our students have been replaced! For example, there is a terrifying clown in Ahmed’s classroom seat! I doubt the clown will be as helpful and as nice as Ahmed. Nor will he be able to take such amazing photos. All the clown has done is chase our students around the halls and scare our poor Housing Coordinator, Lauren.
At the beginning of the day, the students’ alter egos sat in their classes and took notes. I’m not sure if Celine will approve of the schoolwork that the Zombie Bride who sat in her seat completed. Will the hippie sitting in the back of the classroom be able to carry a conversation as well as Santiago? When will our students be back!?
After lunch there were monstrous students who couldn’t wait to frighten the teachers at the Halloween fashion show.
After the fashion show, witches cast spells on the other students that defeated them in musical chairs. Shatha and Bayan would have never cursed their classmates like their witch alter egos did! In another classroom there were skeletons competing to see who can finish eating a donut the fastest with no help from a single bone in their hands. In the classroom next door, a cowboy mummified a piece of candy corn with toilet paper as fast as he could.
It’s safe to say that this has been the most bizarre Halloween yet. I hope the monsters had their fun but we are excited to have our students come back to real life on Monday! Happy Halloween from ELC Boston!
