ELC Los Angeles
ELC - English Language Center Los Angeles
Downtown in Chinatown June 3rd, 2010

America is a melting pot, but many communities hold on to their cultural heritage. ELC students in Los Angeles went to explore one of these enclaves called Chinatown as an afternoon activity.  Many American cities have districts called Chinatown, but the one in Los Angeles claims to be the first modern Chinatown. Today the business district of Chinatown spans 24 blocks in Los Angeles.  There are about 250 shops so there was a ton of stuff for the students to look at. Later they sat down to eat in one of numerous restaurants in the area.
