Brussels. I’ve lived in Brussels my whole life.
I had cereal. It is not a very common breakfast for me. I think it’s very American. At home I usually have bread with coffee.
Because I love English. I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time. I knew I’d come here as soon as I was done with high school. I chose Los Angeles because you have everything here! It is very international.
I’m living in Culver City with a host family, Gillian and Jeff. They have a boy, Hunter, who is six years old…he’s so cute! I play soccer with him sometimes. On Saturdays we go watch Hunter play soccer… In Belgium, girls don’t really play soccer unless they are tomboys. I think I will play when I go back.
My host family is Jamaican. The best meal I had was at their friend’s barbeque. They made rice and beans, and salmon on the BBQ grill.
I love food in general, but if I had to pick right now…. In-N-Out. I also love chocolate. Belgium chocolate!
You guys talk a lot. It’s very easy to make a conversation. Even with strangers, sometimes too much. Like in the bus.
I like music and street art. And I love hanging out in West Hollywood. That’s my favorite place here.
My favorite decade for music is now because I love Justin Bieber (laughs). People are always surprised when I say that because I like rock and hardcore too. But I like everything. And we still have Metallica. I also like Johnny Cash. My favorite song right now is “Sorry” by Justin Bieber. Also Adele’s new song.
None…I don’t know yet! I have some time to think about it. I will go to university next September.
Watch TV shows in English and listen to music in English. Also, keep talking, it helps to practice over and over again.
I have a Japanese friend in class who says it is cheating when I recognize an English word because it is similar to the French word. In class, he made a funny presentation about the Japanese toilet. The title was “The Japanese Toilet: It is Amazing.”
