Petra Steffan is from Switzerland, and had studied for 11 weeks in our Semi-Intensive Plus course in the summer. Petra is an adventurous soul, often found on many of our student activities. She always had a smile on her face, and many students were drawn to her for her kind nature and easygoing personality.
No, my second. Once I was for four days in New York for powershopping. 😉
The people are very friendly and open. Santa Barbara feels like a little town.
I miss Swiss food, family and friends, and green meadows.
I go kayaking and surfing. I visit the cinema, take boat trips and weekend trips to San Diego + Los Angeles, have bonfires on the beach, BBQ with friends, and brunch with friends.
I do yoga, go dancing, read a book, and spend time with friends.
Stay with a host family. You will get to know not only the language, but also the culture of a country. Be an open person. Find friends from other countries and speak as much English as you can.
The “Paradise Beach” ☺ (Point Castillo) This is my favorite beach and we gave this beach a special name because it is so nice there. But also the courthouse and the pier and the backyard from the Wine Therapy are very beautiful.
I only have good memories and make just good experience. The discussions with the other students about their cultures – I always found them very interesting.
Back to work ☺ back to reality.
