Rachel is a spunky student from Belgium studying here for four months and then off to Spain to learn Spanish! She loves to chat with the office staff and other students from all over the world! She is very funny and tells great jokes! Look for her at school and maybe she’ll tell you one, too!
I was born in Bastogne, Belgium but I grew up in La Roche, Belgium.
Because of the weather and LA is multi-cultural city.
Yes it was. When I first came here, LA seemed so huge and wide. I also like that people are so friendly. I love how people give compliments to strangers.
I was just surprised that people have an optimistic way of thinking in the US. Unlike the Europeans, people are more open minded anywhere you go about everyone. You can dress the way you like or look the way you want to and no one will judge you.
FOOD!!!! I miss Belgium fries and raclette.
I like to go to the gym and also to go out to difference places to try different foods with friends. Going on spontaneous trips with my friends are also very fun.
Don’t be afraid to try to speak since they don’t judge you for not being able to speak fluently. I think people appreciate it more when they see that you are trying to speak English.
In-n-Out!!! I like their animal style fries. They are very cheap and very good.
Mussels and Belgian fries.
I loved the Halloween party. I liked that everyone was dressed in costume. The atmosphere was very fun.
