Summer Junior English Program in Boston

The ELC Summer Junior Program in Boston gives students the unique opportunity to live and study English in state-of-the-art facilities, located in the heart of Boston. During July and August, students enrolled in our Summer Junior Program in Boston University will live in a Boston University Dormitory. Summer Junior Program students will take English classes in the mornings. On the weekends, students will be able to participate in optional Saturday activities and an included full-day excursion on Sunday.

ELC offers students in our Summer Junior Program in Boston the opportunity to live on campus in a Boston University dormitory. Students also have the option to participate in our program as a day student if they are not in need of accommodation.

Students participate in Morning Courses Monday-Friday. Morning Courses are compulsory and are included in the Junior Program package. Morning Courses do not occur on Saturday or Sundays.

Summer Junior Program Morning Course Options:

  • Semi-Intensive English Course: Two 45-minute lessons and one 90-minute lessons per day (total hours 15 hours per week). The option to chose specialized electivies in  University Preparation
  • Entrepreneurship Course: Two 45-minute lessons and one 90-minute lessons per day (total hours 15 hours per week)

Junior Program students participate in activities Monday-Friday after their courses. Afternoon activities are compulsory and are included in the Summer Junior Program package. Evening and Saturday activities are always optional and offered to all students. ELC always offers a combination of free and low-cost evening and Saturday activities. MORNING COURSES​

Students in our Semi-Intensive Course will improve their English skills using the communicative approach. They will study grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking and listening comprehension in real-life situations. Includes optional specialized elective in University preparation.

2-week course.
Entrepreneurship students will combine academics, training games, and projects to understand concepts of business and leadership in our Entrepreneurship and Advanced Entrepreneurship Courses. At the end of their two-week course students will present their business plans and team projects. This course is for high intermediate and advanced students.

AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES​

In the Classic Program, students will enjoy the diversity that each city offers through participating in a variety of cultural, sports, sightseeing, and shopping activities.
